Drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the fourth round, 115th overall pick out of JSerra Catholic HS in San Juan Capistrano, California. He was traded to the Detroit Tigers by the San Francisco Giants for Mark Canha in July of 2024. Between both AA Richmond (SFG) and AA Erie (DET), he pitched a total of 59 innings, posting a 4.73 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, 10.53 K/9, and 3.66 BB/9. Silva throws from a 3/4 arm slot, and his arsenal consists of a fastball, a curveball, a slider, and a changeup.Â
