After Indianapolis exploded for 5 runs in the bottom of the 1st, Toledo roared back with 5 of their own in the top of the 4th thanks to a Stephen Scott single, Jace Jung sac fly, Brewer Hicklen single and Hao-Yu Lee groundout. Unfortunately the Hens ‘pen couldn’t hold down the Indianapolis offense, allowing 1 in the 5th, 3 in the 6th and 1 in the 7th.

Garrett Burhenn worked in and out of trouble for 4 innings, holding Akron to just one run despite 8 baserunners. Down 1-0 in the bottom of the 7th, Erie rallied for 4 runs on a Roberto Campus sac fly, Chris Meyers triple and Jim Jarvis single, to lead the way to a 5-1 dub.

West Michigan got off to a hot start today, scoring 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st on a Seth Stephenson homer and John Peck single. After South Bend came back for 3 in the top of the 4th, the Caps replied with another 2 spot in the bottom of the inning. That was all they needed as relievers Josh Fields and CJ Weins closed out the game with 5 scoreless innings.

Lakeland scored a run each in the 3rd, 4th and 5th innings to secure a 4-1 victory over Dunedin. Hayden Minton stayed hot on the mound, firing 5 innings of no run baseball, while the Flying Tigers bullpen kept the Dunedin offense in check the rest of the way.
