Three ‘Hens hitters drove in two runs a piece.

Joseph Montalvo carried Erie to a 1-0 win over Binghamton, throwing five dominant no hit innings. A Max Anderson RBI single was all the SeaWolves needed to tame the Rumble Ponies in a low scoring affair in game one of the doubleheader.

Despite a 4-0 lead through four innings, Erie dropped game two of the doubleheader 6-4, allowing three runs in the 5th, two in the 6th and one in the 7th. Top prospect Troy Melton battled for four innings and kept the ‘Wolves within striking distance, but Binghamton was able to get to the Erie bullpen in the late innings.

Lakeland erupted for 8 runs on 9 hits today, leading to an 8-3 victory over Palm Beach. A Woody Hadeen grand salami carried the Lakeland offense as part of a six run 7th inning. Franyerber Montilla swiped three bags and five Flying Tigers reached base at least twice in a balanced offensive attack.
