Erie mustered just 2 runs on 8 hits today, dropping a tough one to the Altoona Curve 3-2. Despite a strong performance from the bullpen (8IP, 0ER, 2H, 3BB, 10K), the ‘Wolves offense was never able to howl, with a bases loaded Danny Serretti walk and Justice Bigbie single accounting for the only two runs on the day.

Six of the nine (nice) Whitecaps recorded hits today, with a balanced offensive attack leading to a 6-2 dub over the Lansing Lugnuts. Andrew Sears held the Lugnuts in place for four innings, allowing just one run, and his bullpen mates picked up the slack allowing just one run as well in five innings. Four ‘Caps had multi-hit games, including Jack Penney, who added his second home run of the year.
