Toledo Mud Hens (Triple-A)

Game notes:

The Mud Hens only surrendered two hits to the Indians in a bullpen game but ultimately lost. Tigers Top Ten prospect, Hao-Yu Lee recorded an RBI triple and later scored in a two run sixth inning but the pair of runs scored was all that could be achieved for Toledo. The Mud Hens are 51-48.

Erie SeaWolves (Double-A)

Game notes:

Everybody’s favorite knuckleballer, Kenny Serwa took the mound again for the SeaWolves and lowered his Double-A ERA to 3.50 thanks to his 5.1 innings of one run ball. Erie led most of the night before surrendering three runs in the top of the ninth, one being unearned due to a catcher’s interference call. They felt 4-3 to the Patriots.

Tomorrow’s projected starters: Troy Watson (3-2, 2.39 ERA) vs Bryce Selvidge (2-2, 3.07 ERA)

West Michigan Whitecaps (High-A)

Final: Peoria 9 – West Michigan 5

Game notes:

The Whitcaps scored five runs in the second inning, including Jack Penney’s third home run of the season. However, that was all that the team could scrape together in Peoria. West Michigan’s pitching as a whole surrendered 12 hits which led to nine runs. Preston Howey is in line to start only his second game of the season tomorrow after spending most of the season in the bullpen.

Lakeland Flying Tigers (Single-A)

The scorching hot Flying Tigers fell in extra innings tonight, losing only their third game this month. Ricardo Hurtado continued his strong month by hitting two doubles, Lakeland rallied for two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to tie the game at four but ultimately lost.

FCL Tigers (Rookie Ball)

Final: FCL Blue Jays 2  – FCL Tigers 9

Game notes:

Thursday means it is Jatnk Diaz start day. He lowered his ERA to 3.49 after allowing one earned run in 4.1 innings pitched. The Tigers only recorded six hits but walked their way to first base eight times and swiped five bases without getting thrown out. The FCL Tigers are 37-22.

DSL Tigers 1 (Rookie Ball)

Final: Tigers 13 – Angels 3

Game notes:

After a rough few starts to begin the season, Miguel Molina has settled down nicely and threw another four scoreless. The Tigers offense faced a sloppy defense from the DSL Angels team, who made five errors in the field. The Tigers only hit one extra base hit but earned seven free passes to first base. The DSL Tigers1 are 15-22.

DSL Tigers 2 (Rookie Ball)

Game notes:

Unlike the high scoring showcase from the first DSL team, the second team played a much tighter game. Sterling Bazil hit his third home run of the season. Albert Ramos, like Miguel Molina, threw four scoreless innings of his own. The Tigers sucessfully squeezed a close win out.
