Game notes:

Toledo put up a goose egg at the plate tonight, only scratching together three hits. The game was a close 2-0 going into the top of the ninth before Omaha put together a five spot. Dietrich Enns struck to six in four and a third. Hao-Yu Lee hit a triple in the right field corner in the bottom of the night but wasn’t driven in. The Mud Hens lose to the Storm Chasers and are 35-31.

Erie SeaWolves (Double-A)

Game notes:

Max Anderson somehow continues to do the unimaginable at the dish, knocking a home run off the left field wall in the third inning for his eleventh on the year. The Erie pitching staff that has been mighty all year struggled heavily tonight. Jaden Hamm raised his ERA to 4.73. The SeaWolves gave up seven runs in the last three innings which ended up being their demise. Their magic number to clinch is now 7!

West Michigan Whitecaps (High-A)

Game notes:

Lansing never stood a chance after West Michigan’s three-run first inning. Kevin McGonigle put up one of the best performances of the year. He lit up exit velocity charts with his 112 MPH EV home run in the third inning. Andrew Sears inches towards Erie every start, dazzling in five innings. West Michigan’s magic number to clinch is now at ONE.

Lakeland Flying Tigers (Single-A)

Final/12: Palm Beach 4  – Lakeland 3

Game notes:

The Flying Tigers played the long game today in Palm Beach County. It was scoreless going into the bottom of the seventh before the Cardinals could scratch together two runs, answered by a Garrett Pennington three-run shot, which ended up being the only runs for Lakeland in the 12 inning affair. Both teams combined for only 7 hits and 37 strikeouts, 12 coming from Cardinals starting pitcher Braden Davis. Palm Beach walked it off in the twelfth to win. Lakeland is 33-26.

FCL Tigers (Rookie Ball)

Last year’s 12th round pick, Jude Warwick, who continues to impress hit his first home run of the season. Jatnk Diaz continues to dominate, throwing five scoreless against the Complex League Phillies. The FCL Tigers are 17-12 on the year.

DSL Tigers1 (Dominican Summer League)

Game notes:
The Tigers1 team only put together one run today, a solo shot from Samuell Sanchez in the sixth inning. Left-handed starting pitcher Miguel Molina again struggled through three, allowing four runs and earning the loss. the Tigers1 are now 3-5 on the season.

Game notes:

The Tigers2 made a late comeback effort in the 6th, putting together three runs but ultimately fell shy by a run. Carlos Benavides once again had a nice day at the plate and rose his season OPS to 1.096. The pitching staff as a whole walked a total of eight batters in only six innings of work. Just like the other organization DSL team, the Tigers2 are 3-5.
