Hit: 45

Leonard has a compact swing with quick hands that allows for a contact approach. His swing because of how he finishes, does provide loft, which helps him swing for power but also has him pulling the ball often, around 50% so far in his minor league career.

Power: 50

As mentioned before, he has bat speed and leverage in swings show some potential future power.

Run: 40

Leonard has a quick first step out of the box but displays average speed for his position.

Defense: 40

He is a little rough around the edges but can make the routine play. Still a work in progress as far as working with his feet. May need to be moved to the outfield

Arm: 50

Playable arm strength for the infield.

Overall:

Eddys Leonard is a bat first prospect, so his long-term home on defense depends on how he can adapt either in the infield or outfield. The Dodgers had him on the 40-man roster for a reason. He hit 110 MPH on his first extra base hit for Toledo, showing he can make hard contact.  In order for him to make it to the next level, he will need to show a better eye at the plate.
