Between South Bend and West Michigan, only 4 total pitchers were used in the game. Luke Gold hit his first big fly of the season while Max Alba and Kenny Serwa hold the Cubs to a sole run. Kenny Serra knuckleballs his way to his first win of the year and is still scoreless through 11 innings in his stellar first season in the minor leagues. West Michigan improves their record to 8-4.
