Game notes: Toledo beat up on Louisville and put up 13 runs. Lockhart pitched 5.1 innings, let in three runs, and fanned four today. He induced 5 whiffs with the splitter, and ended the night with a 24% CSW. Balazovic pitched an inning of scoreless baseball and had one strikeout. The real story tonight, however, was the offense. Bligh Madris continues his hot streak with 5 RBI, a home run, and a double at 110 MPH off the bat. Brewer Hicklen also had a double and a home run, his home run at 110 MPH off the bat. Jace Jung also joined in on the home run party as he had three hits on the day.

Erie fell short to Reading as Hamm and Guasch combined to let in 5 runs, and the Seawolves were only able to put up 4, both on singles by Cruz and Valencia. Petit had a scoreless relief outing as he fanned two batters in two innings.

Game notes: Alex Cobb pitched his first rehab outing today. His splitter looked good today, along with his 11-5 curve. Sinker appeared to sit around 92. Erbe looked great as well in one inning of relief, where he surrendered one hit but fanned three batters on swinging strikeouts. Seemingly a trend around the organization today, the offense was explosive. Peyton Graham homered in the first inning, driving in 3. Kevin Mcgonigle had an outstanding day, going 4-5 with 4 RBI and a home run. He also doubled along with Izaac Pacheco in the eighth inning, and homered along with Pacheco in the ninth.

Lakeland Flying Tigers (Low-A)

Game notes: Lucas Elissalt dazzled in his start today, fanning 8 batters in 5 innings. His fastball sat 91, curve had excellent feel for spin, sat 78, and induced 8 whiffs. Bryce Rainer continued his rampage of triple-digit exit velocities, 104 and 106 MPH on both his singles. Lakeland was able to string together great at-bats and put a beating on Bradenton.

Tomorrow’s projected starters: Lakeland will play two games tomorrow, one at 5 PM and the second TBT. Starters for both games are still TBD.

FCL Tigers (Rookie Ball)

Final: Yankees 9 – Tigers 5

Campbell, 1B – 2-4

Game notes: FCL Tigers fall to the FCL Yankees, but the offense was very much present. Nomar Fana hits his third home run of the year. Pinto and Salas joined in on the home run party as well. Warwick and De La Cruz both had doubles. Price pitched a good inning of relief as he only let in a hit, no runs, and fanned one batter.
