Game notes:
The Mud Hens trailed all game but never prevailed. Lael Lockhart took the bump, giving up four runs, only two being earned due to an error in the first. In the top of the third, Hao-Yu Lee left the game after being smoked in the head at the plate. Toledo continued to seize control of the strike zone, walking seven times but failed to record an extra base hit. Left-handed reliever, Drew Sommers pitched a dominant eight inning, recording four whiffs on seven swings and thirteen pitches. Toledo falls to 33-26.

Game notes:
Erie recorded 15 hits against Richmond with only one player failing to get one. Eduardo Valencia hit his eight and ninth home runs of the year as he continue to mashes this season. Erie entered the 8th inning down 4-3 before scoring two runs in the bottom half, and giving up two runs in the top of the 9th. Down 6-5 in the bottom of the 9th inning, Erie reeled in two runs including Jake Holton’s walk off single. The SeaWolves are 36-17.

The Whitecaps played an offensive-less game against the Captains tonight. Cleveland Guardians catching prospect, Ralph Velazquez made his mark with a home run and a triple. The Whitecaps went 4-31 with only one extra base hit coming from Patrick Lee. Hayden Minton made his second start for West Michigan since getting promoted, improving upon his first start. The Whitecaps are 37-16.

Game notes:
Start after start, Luke Stofel owns opposing batters for four to five innings at a time. Lakeland entered the 8th inning up 3-1 when Thomas Bruss entered the game, walking three batters, only allowing one hit, and committing an error of his own, ultimately allowing five runs, three earned. The Flying Tigers made their best effort at coming back in the bottom of the 9th, with Jackson Strong driving in two runs to bring things within one with two outs but failed to tie the game. Lakeland falls to 31-21 on the season.
