The Mud Hens fall to the Knights and are 40-38.

Erie SeaWolves (Double-A)
Final: Somerset 4 – Erie 3

Game notes:
The SeaWolves were walked off by the Patriots in the 10th inning by a Spencer Jones single. Erie’s offense was quiet, only putting together three hits, two from Max Anderson and one from Eduardo Valencia. Richard Guasch, who started the season in the Mexican League, threw a dominant two scoreless innings today as he continues to make his name known in the organization. Matt Seelinger, another indy ball product, threw two scoreless innings of his own as he continues to pitch well out of the pen since he left Toledo. Erie is 47-25.
Tomorrow’s projected starters: TBD vs Trent Sellers (1-4, 4.26 ERA)

Game notes:
The bats worked for West Michigan but the pitching had a rough go around. Rayner Castillo got knocked out of the fourth inning that ended up totaling seven runs. Castillo gave up 6 earned runs, one unearned due to a fielding error made by himself. Joe Adametz threw a scoreless three innings to glue the bullpen together in the later half of the game. Peyton Graham slugged his fifth home run in the 6th inning to bring the lead closer but the Whitecaps couldn’t close the deficit. West Michigan is 49-22.

Game notes:
Last year’s 10th round pick, RJ Sales, made his 11th start of the year and dominated again, this time around displaying dominance over the strike zone by not walking anybody. Down 1-0 in the 7th and two runners on base, Jose De La Cruz hit a long fly ball to left field to give the Flying Tigers a 3-1 lead which is all they needed today. Lakeland is 42-28.

Eliseo Mota – 2.1 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 2 K
Game notes:
The Complex League Tigers scored two runs in the third which ended up being all they would score on the day. Jatnk Diaz continues to show flashes of promise, striking out six batters but struggles at misses bats sometimes. Maikol Orozco raised his season OPS to .846 with a single and a double. The FCL Tigers are 25-14.

Dominican Summer League isn’t the home of the prettiest baseball, which applies today in a game that featured three fielding errors which resulted in the games deciding two unearned runs. Miguel Molina pitched another four scoreless innings in his 4th start of the season after his first two were incredibly rough. The pitching staff as a whole did not walk a single batter. The DSL Tigers1 are 6-11.

Both DSL teams had a rough day, although this game was much cleaner in the field with zero errors committed. The high touted Cris Rodriguez went hitless today as he is currently in a slump. The DSL Tigers2 are 7-11.
Tomorrow’s projected starters: TBD vs TBD
