Toledo Mud Hens (Triple-A)

Final: Omaha 2  – Toledo 3

Game notes: It may seem like a typo but it isn’t. Akil Baddoo really his three triples tonight. Devin Smeltzer threw five scoreless beautiful innings in his first start of the year for Toledo. Justyn-Henry Malloy broke through in the 8th with a go ahead ground out which ended up being the deciding run for the Mud Hens. Drew Sommers shut the door down across two innings striking out five to make Toledo 47-43.

Erie SeaWolves (Double-A)

Final: Harrisburg 4 – Erie 0

Game Notes:

The SeaWolves played a tough match against the Senators. The Big Three grouping of Briceno, Clark, and McGonigle combined to go 1-for-11 with a walk. Briceno was the only player to record a hit in the game for Erie. Everybody’s favorite knuckleballer, Kenny Serwa took the mound and put together a productive start but didn’t get any backing from his offense.

West Michigan Whitecaps (High-A)

Final: Lake County 5  – West Michigan 4

Game Notes:

The Whitecaps fell late in the game to the Captains. All four of the runs from West Michigan came in the fourth inning, including Austin Burr’s fourth long ball of the year. The Whitecaps entered the eighth inning up 4-2 but coughed up the lead in the remainder innings.

Lakeland Flying Tigers (Single-A)

Game Notes:

Zach MacDonald started the game off with a lead off home run, his second of the season. Enderson Delgado later hit his first home run of the season in the very next inning. RJ Sales struggled but featured glimpses of success, recording eight strikeouts.

Game Notes:

The Florida Complex League Tiger and Yankees engaged in a massive run environment today. Gabriel Rosado hit his first professional home run and walked four times. Jose Dickson hit his third home run of the season in the ninth inning with two outs to tie the game at twelve a piece to cap off a seven run ninth inning in a miraculous comeback. The Tigers went scoreless in the 10th and the Yankees only needed one run to finish.

Cristian Perez hit his fifth home run of the season in the third inning, a three run shot to dead center field. Miguel Molina lowered his season ERA to 4.66 after he threw three scoreless innings.

The main headline is Nestor Miranda crushing his fifth home run of the year in the fourth inning, a 433 foot grand slam. Cris Rodriguez smoked a base knock at 112 MPH as he continues to mash the ball in the Dominican Summer League.
