The Mud Hens continue their hot streak and pursuit for a spot in the playoffs. Alex Cobb made another rehab start and pitched two scoreless innings. Possible September call up, Keider Montero, threw nearly four innings of one run ball and struck out five to hold the lead for Toledo. This game is headlined by Max Anderson who hit his first Triple-A home run in his third game playing for the Mud Hens. Toledo is 64-53.

Erie SeaWolves (Double-A)
Final: Chesapeake 6 – Erie 15
Top Performer(s):
Max Clark, CF – 2-for-4, 2 R, 2 RBI, HR, BB, SB
Eliezer Alfonzo, C – 2-for-3, 2 R, BB
Danny Serretti, 2B – 2-for-4, R, 2 RBI, HR
Jaden Hamm – 1.2 IP, 5 H, 4 ER, BB, K, Loss
Game notes:
The SeaWolves were blown out by the Baysox today. A lack of pitching and defense led to a large influx of runs for the opposition. Jaden Hamm took the bump today for Erie but was pulled in the middle of the second inning. Danny Serretti hit his first home run of the season in the fifth inning and Max Clark hit his third home run of the season for the SeaWolves. Erie is 65-45.
Tomorrow’s projected starters: Andrew Sears (0-1, 11.57 ERA) vs Levi Wells (0-6, 3.05 ERA)

West Michigan Whitecaps (High-A)
Final: Fort Wayne 3 – West Michigan 8
Top Performer(s):
Jack Penney, 2B – 2-for-4, R, RBI, 2B, BB
Peyton Graham, 3B – 2-for-4, 3 R, RBI, 2B, 2 SB

Garrett Pennington, LF – 2-for-5, R, RBI, 2B
Hayden Minton – 6 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, BB, 7 K, Win
Game notes:
Hayden Minton pitched a quality start for West Michigan and recorded his fifth win of the season in a Whitecaps uniform. Peyton Graham performed well at third base and swiped a few bags for himself. Izaac Pacheco continues his miraculous bounce back season in the middle of August. The Whitecaps recorded 13 hits and after the top of the third inning it was smooth sailing. West Michigan is 76-34.
Tomorrow’s projected starters: Rayner Castillo (3-5, 5.91 ERA) vs Isaiah Lowe (3-9, 5.65 ERA)
Lakeland Flying Tigers (Single-A)
Final: Clearwater 9 – Lakeland 6
Top Performer(s):
Jack Goodman, SS – 3-for-5, R, RBI, 2B, SB
Carson Rucker, 3B – 1-for-4, 2 RBI, BB
Zach MacDonald, CF – 1-for-4, R, 2 RBI, HR
Duque Hebbert – 2 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 3 K
Ethan Sloan – 2 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 5 K
Game notes:
Despite the loss, some players on the Lakeland squad put together a nice performance. 2025 13th round pick out of Northeastern University, Jack Goodman, has had a great start to his professional career and filled up the box score today. Last year’s 15th round pick Zach MacDonald crushed his third home run of the season. Rehabbing Carlos Marcano struggled, only pitching one inning and giving up four runs as he gets back to his regular pace. The Flying Tigers are 66-42.
Tomorrow’s projected starters: TBD vs TBD

DSL Tigers 1 (Rookie Ball)
Final: Tigers 1 – Blue Jays 0
Top Performer(s):

Frenny Grant – 5 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 6 K, Win
Jose Guzman – 2 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, Save
Game notes:
A low scoring affair in the Dominican Summer League took place today. Angel De Los Santos first inning single to drive in Jhonger Ochoa was all the DSL Tigers needed to win today. Both teams did not commit an error, a rare sight to see in Rookie Ball. Frenny Grant and Jose Guzman combined to hold the line tight and take home a win to make the DSL 1 Tigers 23-27.
Tomorrow’s projected starters: TBD vs TBD
DSL Tigers 2 (Rookie Ball)
Final: Yankees 7 – Tigers 8

Later in the sixth, the Yankees tried to comeback with five runs but came up short. The DSL Tigers2 are 21-28.
Tomorrow’s projected starters: TBD vs TBD
