Cale Wetwiska Scouting Report
Drafted in the seventh round of the 2025 draft out of Northern Oklahoma College, Cale is an athletic RHP who stands 6’2”, 190 lb.
He posted a 3.54 ERA at Oklahoma with 55 strikeouts in 48.1 innings, and 24 walks. He will begin his 2026 season in Low-A Lakeland.
He has a high leg kick, fluid on-line delivery with long arm action into a high 3/4 arm slot. There is some reliever risk with the strike throwing struggles, and the lack of a plus pitch.
Fastball: 45
Sits 93, although he can reach back for 95. He rides it well at the top of the zone and gets swing and miss underneath.
Cutter: 50
2-8 movement with tight spin, best ones have depth. Sits about 86, but can reach back for 89.
Changeup: 45
Doesn’t use much at all, but a weapon to have in his back pocket. Has fade and late sink. Sits 87.
Command: 50
Executes well in full counts and moves his pitches around the zone.
Control: 45
A bit below average with walks, strike throwing still needs some fine tuning.
